TOEFL iBT
Preparation aligned with the TOEFL iBT test format introduced in January 2026.
Four assessed skills
Reading
Understand everyday and academic texts. The updated test includes word-completion, practical reading and academic passages.
Listening
Process spoken responses, conversations, announcements and academic talks.
Writing
Develop sentence accuracy and written communication through sentence-building, email writing and academic discussion tasks.
Speaking
Practice intelligible spoken English through listen-and-repeat and interview-style tasks.
Current scoring system
For tests taken on or after January 21, 2026, each section and the overall result are reported on a 1–6 scale in half-point increments. During a two-year transition, score reports also show a comparable overall score on the former 0–120 scale.
